Hi, we're the Squirrels class.
We love to sing and dance and learn new things.
Our teacher is Mr Kaz.
We also have Mrs Bibi to help us.
This half term our topic is 'Beside The Seaside'
For our last year 1 topic we will be learning about 'the seaside', we will be talking about the different physical and human features at the seaside and looking at how the seaside has changed over the years.

Previously in the Squirrels class....
'Grow It,Cook It,Eat It'
We learnt about food and where it comes from.We looked at our favourite foods.
We really enjoyed our visit from 'Roots To Food' and loved making lots of healthy food.
This topic was all about animals from around the world.We learnt about where animals live and what they eat.In Art and Design we had a go at some Tinga Art.
We had a lovely day out at Woburn Safari park.We saw lots of different animals,big and small.
'Toys and Transport'
We started our topic by looking at our own toys and comparing them with toys from the past.We also explored vehicles and how they have changed over the years.We found out about famous inventors such as the Wright brothers.
We really enjoyed our trip to Peterborough museum.
'Dark Nights,Bright Lights'
To kickstart our topic we had our 'WOW' Day where we celebrated Fireworks Night and learnt about Guy Fawkes and how to handle sparklers safely.
We all really enjoyed our Diwali workshop.
‘Oh,I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside!’
We had a lovely time at Hunstanton.We played on the sand and paddled in the sea and had ice-cream.

We learnt about food and where it came from.We enjoyed cooking with Miss Jennings.We learnt which parts of the plant we can eat.
We visited the local park to look at the seasonal changes.

We are really enjoyed our 'Spring' walk to Central Park
WOW! We had an amazing time at Woburn Safari Park.
We saw lots of animals on the road safari - lions,tigers,elephants and some cheeky monkeys that climbed on top of our coach!
We saw a sealion show,the sealion was really clever and could do tricks.We had to wear some special glasses to watch a short 3D film.
