AUTUMN TERM 2

We are now well into the second half-term of the school year and life is very busy at Queen's Drive. We have organised a number of exciting activities and events, so please check the dates set out in this newsletter so that you don't miss anything happening in the next few weeks.

FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES

We will be having a few fundraising activities before the end of term. Money raised will be used to boost school funds so that we can continue to provide lots of exciting experiences in school for the children.

TOMBOLA - We are collecting CHOCOLATES and SWEETS for our Tombola. Please bring in any donations to the office this week. Thank you.

BAKE SALE - This will take place alongside the tombola. Any donations of home-made cakes, biscuits, muffins, mince pies etc would be greatly appreciated and can be sent in on the morning of the 15th December. Also, if any of you can help us to sell the cakes at home-time or set up in the morning, we would really appreciate your help, so please let us know.

WEAR CHRISTMAS CLOTHES / JUMPERS - This will be on the last day of term on Tuesday 19th December. Dress in Christmas clothes and bring in £1. 

CHRISTMAS COLOURING COMPETITION - We will be selling colouring sheets for 50p each from the main school office starting on the 8th December. Entries will need to be in by Monday 18th December. Prizes will then be given out on the last day of term.

EVENTS IN DECEMBER

Year 2 / Year 1 Showcases - Come and see what your child has been learning this term - Please respond to your invitation on Parentmail so we know numbers.

EYFS Story cafes - Come and take part in Nativity activities with your child - Please respond on Parentmail so we know how many parents to accommodate.

Christmas parties - This will be a day of activities with party games / food in the afternoon. Monday 18th December. Children can WEAR PARTY CLOTHES!!!

Tombola and Bake sale - Friday 15th December @ 3:15pm in playground

Dress Christmassy day - Tuesday 19th December (see above)

CHRISTINGLE ASSEMBLY

Year 2 children will be making Christingles on FRIDAY 15TH DECEMBER - please bring in a large orange for your child to use.

All KS1 children will be taking part in this assembly which will be held at All Saints Church rather than in school.

KS1 homework

Reminder - All children in Years 1 and 2 should make sure that they have returned their homework books to the class teachers by Friday 15th December. This can then be marked and this term's homework prizes can be awarded in the last week of term.

News

We are delighted to announce that we raised £202.66 for Children in Need this year.
