SUMMER TERM

We are having a lovely term full of exciting activities and fun topics. This term is one where we think a lot about the changes ahead and staff work hard to prepare the children for 'moving up' to their new classes.

SEPTEMBER STAFFING

We will be welcoming 2 new teachers, Miss Speed and Miss Skelhon who will start officially in September. They will be visiting us over the next few weeks and the children will be able to meet them on Move up day.

Mrs Scarth will finish her work with us at the end of term in July and we wish her well in her future roles.

SUMMER SHOWCASES

Staff are getting ready to share what children have been doing with you in the Summer showcase events.

Year 2 Monday 8th July

Year 1 Tuesday 16th July

EYFS Thursday 11th July

Invitations will be sent out soon on Parentmail.

'MOVE UP' DAY

This will take place on Wednesday 3rd July and is an exciting day for all our current EYFS and YEAR ONE children. They will start in their usual classes on arrival but then will 'move up' after assembly to spend the day with their new teacher. At the end of the day they will then go back to their usual class. It is helpful if you can speak to your child about this before the day so that they know what to expect.

WARM WEATHER

Now that Summer has finally arrived, please remember sun hats and to apply sun cream before children come to school - Thank you

Cygnet Nursery - SUN CREAM and SUN HATS ...

SCHOOL UNIFORM SALE

We will be selling second-hand uniform at the showcase event - all items are 50p each

SPORTS DAYS 2024

KS1 SPORTS DAY - Tuesday 9 July - 9.15 - 10.30 at TDA field

EYFS SPORTS DAY - Wednesday 10 July at Queen's Drive Infant School  (specific class times to be confirmed but will be between 9 - 11.15am)

We look forward to welcoming you to this year's sporting events.  We use an informal approach where children try out different activities where you are encouraged to watch them as they move round.
